Adventure Dominica
Freshwater & Boeri Lakes
This is a trip into Dominica's mountainous and rugged interior to two of our
crater lakes which were formed by volcanic eruptions thousands of years ago.
A picturesque drive from the village of Laudat, takes you to the first lake "The
Freshwater lake" where you will have an opportunity to go kayaking on this
placid mountain lake (optional at an additional cost)
The water is a little nippy but a swim could refresh and rejuvenate you.
We move on the "Boeri lake", the can at times be challenging and jungly with
great vegetation and some spectacular views of the east coast.
Some parts of this trail require extreme caution because of slippery rocks along
the
way, we will cross may streams rushing away to the east coast and the Atlantic
Ocean.
The hike form Freshwater to Boeri lake is approximately one hour, swimming is
also possible here.
Time 3 - 4 hours
